Hello, my name is Caleb and I have a 4 month old female Argentine Black and White tegu and I got her on June 30th from Underground Reptiles and I keep her in a 40 gallon Exo Terria cage for the time being until my 8x4x4 is completed. And she's has had zero problems whatsoever this is my first ever tegu and we've spent everyday together and I always make sure to get her out everyday and spent at least an hour minimum with her a day and she's also eats everyday as well but I've just recently moved into my own house and the weather is staring decline a lot so I have her under a 160w powersun bulb, 26w UVB, and 75w heat bulb just to make sure her hot side stays around 90 degrees and her basking spot at around 115 but I've recently noticed a spot on her neck that almost looks like dead skin I figured it would come off when she got done with her shed but once she finished her she's about a week ago the spot was still there and this morning it looked a lot worse than usual and I'm just concerned if it's a big deal or not she's still very active and is still sweet just curious at what's this could be and I don't want to take a chance and let this hurt her.

Hi Caleb- your message pre-empts more questions. Thanks. That spot looks like a scar from a cut or scuff. Did she nick herself maybe? If so, could take a shed or two more to disappear if it is superficial. You could apply neosporin 1X each day for a while to help.
