Hay guys I am looking to snap together my tank pretty soon, I have everything got most of it from work. However there is one thing that is bothering me and that's using silicone to seal the joints inside the enclosure I was going to use a bond we use called "stick like sh*t" and dry clear silicone sealent the thing is it's all trade only stuff and at about Ã?â??Ã?£15 a pop for the tubes I know its good. However I a'm just worried about my tegus picking it of and possibly digesting it. I was going to neaten all the silicone with a stanley knife, but I am just wondering if anyone has had a case of thier tegu picking stuff off around the enclousre.

Slicone sealant is just fine after it is fully cured. It will not harm at all. Just make sure that you leave a very clean finish (no after run or flash, clumps). As long as there are no area's to get a grip with teeth no problem!
