Hey James,

I came across the enclosure you made for your tegu last year while looking for info on vents - gotta say, very nice build.

If I recall, in your last post about it, you still weren't sure about the vents but were thinking of using a 2" hole saw to cut out one on each end.

Did you end up doing this?

I was thinking of doing the exact thing with one vent low, on the cool side and one on top, at the warm end.

Another way to do it would be:

Since I use a small 1 gallon humidifier in the cage at one corner, I was also pondering putting (2) 1" holes behind it, very close to where the filtered air-intake is.

Then doing two more vents at the opposite end of the tank, in the direction my humidifier blower faces.

Thoughts?

This enclosure ended up with no vents. In my opinion an enclosure this big will have enough fresh air transfer from opening the doors for daily interactions. If your tegu hibernates you will probably need to open the enclosure every other day or so for air exchange.
