I can't believe how fast these guys inhaled the chicks. If you haven't tried them I recommend them when your tegus can handle them. I'm thinking about ordering a bunch online.

My AA destroys chicks, it is pretty messy if he bites down to hard and they explode. Do you ever feed off of tongs? Mines feeding response is much more extreme than yours, but I feed off tongs.

I haven't but I want to try. Rango is the most mellow when it comes to feeding. I'm not sure if I'd do it with anyone else lol. Its crazy, I didn't expect them to chow down the chicks like they did. They were $2.50 each locally, I would have ordered them online but I didn't want a butt load of left overs if they didn't like them fro some reason.

Guru destroyed them, he shook them all around and ripped them apart, it was fun to watch lol.

I got about 300 chicks from a guy that sold all his snakes and had the chicks left over. I got them for about $0.16 each.

I wish I could find a deal like that for chicks. I might have to poke around CL and see if I can find anything. Do your monitors eat them too or is that a no-no?

Wow. That's less than rats.

They're quite a bit smaller than the rats they would normally eat though. I found a guy near Salem that sells medium rats for $1.35/ea. He doesn't have any chicks though :(

My monitors aren't big enough yet, but my water and yellow monitor will get them as soon as they are big enough.

No, I keep putting it off. I need to place an order, but if I don't, it gives me a reason to go to the local pet shop. HAHAHA

I love to watch videos of tegus eating things, or any carnivorous animal eating things for that matter. You just made my night. Hooray for Rango and his new taste for chicken!

I feed them to my savannah (very limited) and my tegus. Tonka my big boy takes them right down Chevy is messier. He loves to shake them and kind of rip them apart. So there are usually heads and wings flying about.
