I just made my first Taegu enclosure and I wired porcelain light fixtures to a ceiling pan. Using the temp gun I noticed the ceiling pan got to 154 degrees and that is attached directly to the oak top of my tegu enclosure. I am very afraid of having a fire so I have unplugged everything and I need some help with how to install a heat bulb directly in the enclosure safely. If you can't assist me can you point me to someone who can. Thank you so much for your time.

I don't think 154 is enough to burn oak, you can sterilize wood in the oven at a higher temp than that (200-250f)

I did some quick reading about wood ignition temps and most people are saying around 450f. I don't think you have to worry I've had branches in the oven for hours at 250 degrees. But I think you should check it out yourself I would feel bad if something caught on fire

I decided to use a zoo med heat lamp fixture with the dome and just removed the clamp and installed an L bracket so the fixture is 3 inches away from the roof of the enclosure and everything is working fine now and safe. Thank you everyone for your help!!
