hi, i have real plants in with my blue tegus & was wandering what would be a good safe fertilizer to keep my plants lush & my tegus safe.

I wouldn't put anything in my Gu's cage .They do way too much "redecorating " whenever they have a furnished cage with plants . The plants would be toast in a matter of minutes.
