Out of town

So I'm going out of town for a weekend. I can feed my 2 month oms tegu Friday but won't be able to again till Tuesday. Would he be fine not eating for 3 days or so. I could just get my neighbor to put food I his cage for him to eat. But my tegu has made a lot if progress in regards to not eating in his enclosure for the last week and I don't want him to get in a habit of eating in it again.

Let him eat as much as it wants the day you leave and he'll be fine. They don't have to or even need to eat every day.

What I do when I'm gone for 2-3 days is fed him a lot the day befor I leave then put like 10 mill worms in a dish and let him fed of that for the days im gon

I wouldn't leave live bugs. I dont think its the same for worms and tegus but I know crickets have been known to munch on beardies if they're left in an enclosure. Just give him a fatty meal before you leave. He will be just fine when you return.

Well I have a special bowl that is made for that exact reason , it keeps them from being able to get out.

Ok thanks that's what I thought ill just give him several pinkies Friday morning before I leave.
