Hello I am new to this forum..I am deployed in Afghanistan right now and with the free time on my hands and mind I was thinking of expanding my collection when I get home.I was really wanting to get an extreme giant from Varnyard when I returned .Went back and forth with emails a couple times with Bobby trying to figure how to handle this since I was out of the states and when to ship considering I would be home in Dec/Jan and in Wisconsin sometimes its quite cold. He said he would gladly hold one for me til i returned if payed for it in full, which I thought was pretty good of him.So I mentioned it with the wife, which i didnt expect a positive response from considering she is caring for our 3 children...2 teenage girls on top of that:p,6 dogs 1 terrier chihuahua mix,5 american bulldogs, and a handful of other reptiles. So I sent her some links to check out,she fell in love instantly. She sent me a message back saying dont worry about it,its taken care of..She bought 1 male extreme giant and it should be on the way too Wisconsin next week....now i just gotta wait 4 months too see it:(.Another internet relationship I guess.

Welcome to the site :), keep ya head down and don't forget to tuck and roll when necessary. Bobby held my AA for me when I was in Germany until I got back home,.. so I know what the wait is like.

Yes waiting...seems like I am waiting for everything now days...I think I have only seen 2 Camel spiders here,Im surprised I have only seen 1 small snake and 1 frog, quite a few hedgehogs though,But I am running a wrecker with Gun Trucks so we are always on the road,i seem too see more IEDs and RPG's:s.The last Camel spider I did see was dead outside the tent, guess the guys were sitting down smoking and one felt something on his foot with flip flops on...flicked on the flashlight and he screamed like a little girl:p We are thinking the Tegu will be at my home Tuesday or so I am very excited, thats all I can think of is that little guy!!!

Welcome to the forum! I have a cousin that just finished up his tour as a scout around the Afghan/Paki border. I think he is back in the states, but not home yet. Everything has been such a secret when he moves...and last minute. Be safe!! and THANK YOU!

I have a close friend that went to Iraq twice. The way he tells stories, that's where all the camel spiders are hiding out. haha

Congrats on your new tegu, You'll love it!
