Ok as the title says im wanting to get my shower/tub redone prob next week. Its called the miracle method(if anyones heard of it) and they basically clean everything really well(with chemicals im sure) and then coat everything with some special spray paint stuff that seals everything and essentially makes it look new. This will take one day. They hook up a fan and connect it to a window to try to get as much smell out as possible when theyre working.
I know my bird and spiders can be sensitive to things so I will be relocating my tarantulas, finch and crested gecko(easy to move) to my parents for a few days and im wondering if i need to move my tegu and beardie. It wont be fun for us or them but of course ill move them if i need to.
My house isnt all that big but the work and the lizards will not be in directly connected rooms however the bathroom is down the hall from the living room where the lizards are. The majority of the smell should go out the window but im sure it wont smell good in here for a day or two. Anyone have any thoughts as to whether or not this will be dangerous for them?
Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Honestly I'm not sure, but it seems like you'd be better safe than sorry and if your parents are willing to have them there for a few days you may want to just as a precaution.

If you are concerned enough to move the others, why not just move them all??

Ok as I said.. birds are sensitive to a lot more things than most animals and I believe I read that tarantulas are too and that's why they're being moved. Its goin to be a pain to move the tegu and beardie so that's why I was asking if it was necessary..

The only room i could move them to that wouldnt be closer is a pretty cold room..I guess im just gonna wait and see. I called and talked to the guy again that does the stuff and he said its non toxic and since itll be goin out a window at the back of the house the animals in the front room shouldnt be affected as most of the smell will go outside. He said hes never had to have people remove animals except a bird that was in a tiny trailer and they werent even sure if that was necessary.
Maybe ill just put a blanket over the doorway ...

Maybe ill just put a blanket over the doorway ...or set up something temporary with their heat lights at my moms for that day so i dont have to move the entire cages
