More Nutritionally Sound- Baby Mice or Quail?

So, quick question I wanted to pose to ya'll-
I know how pinky mice aren't the best feeders, since they don't have developed bones, and just cartilage. But, what about baby birds? I've seen baby chickens that are up and walking around shortly after they hatch. I have no idea about baby quail. Point being, does a day-old chick have real bones/ calcium content or are they just as much cartilage as a baby rodent?

I feed day old quail occasionally- they do seem to have somewhat more developed bones. I don't have data to back that up but the bones in the chicks seem quite a bit more solid than those in pinkies and fuzzies.

I will say that the quail are much closer in size to small mice than pinkies though so it may not help much. Loki seems rather ambivalent about them and will usually just rip the heads off and ignore the rest. He seems to far prefer the whole ground meats.

I got the baby quail at hare-today if anyone else is looking for them.

That's where I got mine as well. I cut them into 3 parts while they're still frozen and Ezzy really enjoys them.

How much bone does a fuzzy have, do you think? I'm feeding my young male (2 months old almost) fuzzy's when I feed him whole prey, should I move up to hoppers?
