Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone has ever tried making a thick, sheet metal enclosure held together by rivets. It seems like a good idea, but I haven't seen any. Is there a downside?
The panels on my cage are made from a strong PVC laminated with aluminum sheets, inside an all aluminum frame, so it is all metal and acrylic that is exposed. It works pretty well, though not quite the same thing as what you're suggesting, it should be fine as long as it is not prone to rusting as above.
