Update.. I got a message from my vet and this is what she had to say" After you left, I sedated him and gave him pain meds. We repeated the x-ray and the bones/barium had moved WAY DOWN, so I gave an enema and belly rub and got a little bit more bone fragment material out. I waited, NO SURGERY, gave him another bolus of barium by mouth, brought him home, and as I was setting him up and changing his pee-pad just now I found a few more small bone fragments he passed. I think we are over the "surgery hump" as he is now passing them with it! I am going to keep him overnight (he is still a little gorped) so I can monitor poopage but I am so happy! " ....So it looks like he knew he was going to be opend up and started to passes some of the bones. when she gave him the barium a few days ago it pushed it down and is NOW starting to pass down. There still some bigger peices to watch for BUT THIS this great news. We will watch for now too see just in case he still needs to be opened up but for now this is fantastic news
