so my 2 year old black and white, loves to attack her uvb light fixture . I cant hang the fixture any higher above the cage, she continues to climb and jump until she grabs the fixture and breaks it. i have to have a top on her enclosure because she climbs out of EVERYTHING. not only am i worried about her getting hurt but its annoying and expensive to fix/replace bulbs and fixtures daily. any suggestions?
thanks!

Perhaps you can try some type of wire mesh bulb cover like this

that would be aweomse! but the beast grabs the entire fixture and hangs on it and swings on it. its funny to watch but then the black part separates from the ceramic part then the light bulb falls out and breaks.. shes 3 ft of pain in the a*s! haha

kind of figured this question would be difficult. any one know of any cages that have a place to put lighting so they cant be grabbed or ripped out? maybe that would help? right now all i need is like a 4ft cage. she is out free roaming for at least 3 hours a day in my house. summer she will go outside. i wish she would just hibernated and make this easier!.

Just make a wire box and cover the light like a small bird cage or hamster cage affix it to the top of the enclosure .. Maybe the cage off a fan could be made to work ...
