lighting/ heating question

I am going to start building a new enclosure for my tegu next week and have everything pretty much planned out except for the lighting. Its going to be 6x3x2 1/2 (to fit through door ways). I've looked at a ton of other peoples custom enclosure pics and noticed they have multiple light fixtures, plus fluorescent bulbs. I really prefer to use MVBs, but am not sure how many I will need for this size enclosure. Also, would it be better to cut circular holes in the top and have fixtures sitting on top, or have mounted fixtures on the inside? I would rather do this, but am not sure how many I will need for proper lighting/ heating on each side. I am a bit confused as you can tell, so any help would be appreciated!

I recently finished planning a cage roughly the same size as yours. Here is a link to a full description with illustrations that including lightingÃ?¢ââ??¬Ã?¦

Incandescent heat & UVB all in one bulbs seem to be Ã?¢ââ??¬Ã?â??the latest crazeÃ?¢ââ??¬Ã? but IÃ?¢ââ??‰â??¢m not such a fanÃ?¢ââ??¬Ã?¦

My Tegu is currently growing out in a 4Ã?¢ââ??‰â??¢ x 2Ã?¢ââ??‰â??¢ x 2Ã?¢ââ??‰â??¢ enclosure. She has a incandescent heat lamp (no UVB) on one end creating a basking area. I then have a 3Ã?¢ââ??‰â??¢ fluorescent fixture with a UVB bulb suspended from the ceiling that lights the cage and offers UVB benefits.

I very commonly find my Tegu laying spread out beneath the UVB light on the opposite end as the heat lamp. I very rarely find her basking under the heat lamp. So I feel if the only UVB source is the heat lamp, there will be times when she wants UVB but not heatÃ?¢ââ??¬Ã?¦ and is thus forced to Ã?¢ââ??¬Ã?Å?deal withÃ?¢ââ??‰â??¢ heat or Ã?¢ââ??¬Ã?Å?go withoutÃ?¢ââ??‰â??¢ UVBÃ?¢ââ??¬Ã?¦

This is not to say that the incandescent UVB bulbs are Ã?¢ââ??¬Ã?â?badÃ?¢ââ??¬Ã?ÂÃ?¢ââ??¬Ã?¦ it is simply why I feel the diversity offered by using both is Ã?¢ââ??¬Ã?Å?betterÃ?¢ââ??‰â??¢Ã?¢ââ??¬Ã?¦
