OK...let's say I don't get any takers for Aesop and / or Francis and keep them (or one of them). I really don't want to move their cages from Cali to Nashville (space is a HUGE issue).

Soooo...if I put them (or one of them) down for hibernation in a rubbermaid, sold their cage(s), and drove to nashville, how much difficulty would I have finding a decent cage (if even just a temporary cage) in a timely enough manner in Nashville without breaking my bank? I know, weird scenario. Ideas? Suggestions?

Wanna buy a tegu? Or a sweet tegu cage?

Nice thing about Nashville is you can get your self a horse troff (spelling?) and make a lid out of some plywood. This is simple and alot of monitor keeps use them. They are used to hold water for cattle and horses and come in every size imaginable, some plastic and some metal. Not to pretty to look at but relativly a cheep temp cage.

I have also used a large rubbermaid for a month or two when I moved home from college, my large wooden cage was just too much to pack into my jeep.

Chelvis has a great point. I have horse troughs on my ranch. Most of them are about 6ft long, couple feet wide, they run about 30 dollars at the local ranch market in Sutton county. I can see how one can be used as an enclosure for your gu(s), temporarily. It'd be nice if you could keep them!

Scroll down a little bit and it shows some enclosures using the metal horse troughs.

Here is another example. http://savannahmonitor.org/images/housing-trough-setup.jpg

You could use just the trough until you could build the box on top.
