How to sex golden?

My goldens only maybe 10" long i think, wont sit still long enough for me to measure, i keep calling it "her" because compared to the other she was with, she looks feminine, if thats at all possible.

Just curious how long i should wait to be able to actually know?
And is it really just being able to feel spurs on either side of thier vent that determines it theyre male?

Unless you have it probed you won't know until it starts to show signs to be male or female.
