Dexter and I have a tolerable relationship. But he is not very nice. He let's me touch him a little and is for.the most part calm. But he isn't sweet. He gets cranky. And I believe that he tolerates me more than anything. He used to be happy sitting on my lap and didn't mind affection at all. But not so Mich anymore.

Guru is 2ish. He was pretty flighty until he was about a year old, then calmed down a bit. Recently he's been a bit moody though. You just gotta be patient. If im late with meals he gets extra grumpy.

I feed dexter every morning. I'm not home during the day. Gone 12 hours a day 5 days a week. The wife takes care of all the animals except him. So he has food waiting before he wakes up. I try to at least be in his enclosure while he is up everyday and pet him a little. He's good with all the cats and dogs. My pitbull loves him. I just hope he isn't so jumpy when he's big. I have two kids and we are working on a third.

I would just keep working with him and exposing him to new things. How old is he again? A year or so? It could be related to tegu puberty. It's not uncommon for them to be a little moody around that age.

my first tegu was super calm and tame right out of the egg, always been tame and got as tame as possible. my newest hatchling is wild, runs bites, jumps. i hate it, but work with him everyday hoping to break those habits

He's just over a year. Jowels are starting to form. Last night he actually tried to nip my fingers. Lol! Little ****. I opened his house up and took him out and held him for abit after that. Pet his head to let him know I'm a friend. He has started to pop his jowels too. He has got a little more attitude now that he has a large enclosure.
