hi everyone,
i have a red tegu bout 60cm long. in these month she/ he did eat as it used to be. especially in thses 2 weeks...it used be very excited when it sees the live food like superworms and crakets. since it did nt eat that much, i stopped feeding it raw meet, and for instead i gave it superworms...but i gota say it only ate 2or 3 worms per week, and getting skiny...
the temperature, humidity, right now are still normal, but little cooler during the night. cage set up s also like before...is it because i just moved to a new apt 2 weeks ago?
thanks in advance

It could very well be the stress of moving and new surroundings that your GU has to adjust to. Just keep offering food every day at the same time, try to get a normal schedule your little red can get accustomed to. You could also try offering other foods, they can be fickle sometimes about what they like and don't like. Try some baby mice, if pre-killed doesn't get your GU's attention a live fuzzy might. You could try beef/chicken livers, or chicken(neither of my GU's get very exited over turkey but they love chicken breast, gizzards, livers.. pretty much anything chicken). Best of luck and keep us updated.

Eggs are also usually loved. Soft-boiled so the yolk is a little runny gets mine excited, or if you can get fertilized eggs, try just offering it raw in a little dish(mine love lapping it up).

How fertile are fertilized eggs ??? Do you put them in the Incubator for a couple of weeks ??? What stage of development would the chicks be at ??
