Frankenstein mix

So, recently i decided to try something.
My golden seems to be a real diva about her food sometimes so i decided to play a game with her.

She hasnt been real big on eating the turkey hearts or the chicken livers i bought, Nor will she ever eat crickets. She does enjoy eggs too much though, i think.
So, in hopes of altering that, so shes not only eating eggs, chicken and turkey i created what a co-worker has dubbed "frankenstein mix"

In a blender, I threw in:
Ground Turkey
Ground chicken
Heart
Liver
scrambled eggs
and some calcium powder, also a bit of multi-vitamin.

It turned into a really nasty smelling paste.
I spooned it into baggies, and dropped in a few gutloaded live crickets and then froze it.

She seems to like it, she ate the whole baggie i tossed in there today.

I need to start finding other things to feed her, though. Gunna try hittng up a local meat shop sometime next week to see if they have anything weirder than livers and hearts.

Be careful with kidneys. I'm not 100% sure, but if I remember correctly, my grandmother used to soak kidneys to get the pee out of them.

Yes I have been using the same ingredients like yours, with some modified:
organic chicken wings or tigh (I give about 3-4 pieces)
hard boiled eggs (2)
beef liver
minced non fat beef
I add lettuce, papaya slices, sometimes oranges or strawberry
multivitamin Calsium without D3 and multivitamin like herptivite

Usually my tegu gogon will finish almost of the feeding dish, but now he is in the mating season and having decreased appetite, he is walking around and around everyday,...seemed to me he is trying to find female

The San Diego Zoo has a similar mix for their monitors, tegus and Komodo Dragons:

You mix approximately (recipes vary but it's always more turkey then eggs) 10 oz turkey with 2 whole eggs + shell. Add some water to help liquify the mix. Add normal supplements/calcium. Blend. Feed. Freeze/refrigerate the rest.

Apparently they have used this type of mix for some time now and it's been regarded as a "staple".

Every time I mix my own batch up, my tegus readily eat it.

I assume you can throw almost anything else into the mix as long as it isn't high in phosphorus.

The Sam Diego Zoo diet is actually an exact measurement of the ingredients. It supposedly mimics a rat/mouse in nutritional content. If not mixed correctly than you aren't getting the proper nutrients.
