Hey everyone I'm gettin my Tegu from bobby in about 2 weeks. I'm so anxious to get it I had one before when I was in hs that I loved but i wasn't able to afford keeping it when it got bigger so I had to give it away. I'm gettin one for a college grad present for myself now lol. I built a 6x3x3 cage for it and just need to choose the lighting. I put two 2' strips for uvb. Would putting just one uvb on the basking side and a regular light on other be ok or should I just put uvb on both sides.

I'd put UVB on both sides. That's how mine is set up so she's getting some even when she's roaming around on the cool side.

I would put on on both sides as well. Also make sure they are within the proper distance to be effective.

Ok that's what I was planning on but didn't know if it was overkill. They are about 20" away plus 5" substrate or so puts it around 15".
