FEEDING TIPS

Hey!

So, I have my golden 2 pinkies today, that marinated in liver juices overnight. She ate the pinkies, and left the hunks of liver in her bowl.

Just curious, is it ok to give her pinkies again tomorrow?
Or should i not?

Shes only about maybe a foot long, shes missing about 3 inches of her tail. I wanna make sure shes eating good things so she gets big.

Yes it is ok, but try to offer a little variety at least. Get some dubia roaches if you don't already have them.

Ill have to ask the guy i get all my food from, if he has roaches.
Xibulba wont even look at crickets, ive been cutting the live crickets up and mixing them into her turkey and liver just to get her to eat them.

She gets turkey, chicken, chicken livers, turkey hearts, beheaded crickets and the occasional egg yoke on an alternating basis.
She ate a piece she tore out of a horn worm once when i first got her, ill have to pick another few up when i get them for my beardie to se if she'll eat the whole thing.

any other good things a baby golden might enjoy?

Zoo Med makes a line of canned feeder insects. While the grasshoppers may be too big for your tegu now, the snails, caterpillars, and crickets should do nicely. If you can get them, nightcrawlers are a good idea as well. I also recommend getting some silversides; they are lower in fat than red meat or rodents and since the have all the bones and organs, are a better choice than a fish fillet IMO.
