enclosure plus natural light

Hi everyone. I am waiting for my vanyard tegu to hatch and it is time to build the enclosure.

I decided if I am gonna build one to go ahead and make a nice full sized one. At least 8x3x4. Maybe bigger.

I plan on building the enclosure 4' off the ground. There is a 6' window and is the same height from the ground as the enclosure would be.

I have read that tegus like natural sunlight, but also that it can cause them to go "wild"

I can either put a solid back on the enclosure or glass. I could probably even do curtains on the window in case I need to block the light intermittently.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

It wouldn't hurt anything to have a window there for him to get natural light. Just know that it will not be a substitute for UVB, as UVB from the sun will not pass through glass.

Thanks, I feel stupid. I completely forgot about that.
