Okay Donatello is eating crickets, fuzzies, eggs and other things well but he doesn't even look twice at ground meat, no matter the type. I tried coating it in egg and he still walked off. Any tricks to get him to try it?
My little guy won't eat anything unless its wet...like i have to mix his turkey with water or dip his pinkies in water...drinks fine but likes his food, wet.
It's been over a month, his feeding response is just now getting to be what I assume is normal. he actually likes his pinkies dipped in water as well, which is great since I defrost them in water. I may try turkey packed onto a hisser. I have some gravid females on the way. Thanks!
Niles sometimes doesn't feel like eating his ground turkey and beef liver...i wiggle it with a fork and that gets his attention.then i just keep wiggling each bite and pushing it towards him on the dish.he did that today and i got him to eat everything but the last bite...which he pushed away with his foot and proceeded to climb out of his feeding bin onto the table...

Although he wanted nothing to do with his first f/t mouse I offered him ...he was like "ewww mommy, what the heck are you trying to feed me!?!? "
Jaeger won't eat any ground meat either. I'm not too torn up about it though. Just means I don't have to buy expensive-ass turkey at ridiculous prices. lol Plus it's much wholesome and nutritious to feed whole prey anyway.
