I just set up the enclosure for my blue tegu i'll be getting next week and wanted to make sure I had the right temps/ humidity and what not. The basking spot it at 105, the cool end is around 80 (seems kind of high?), The humidity is usually around 75%, and for substrate I am using a bottom layer of eco earth, and a top layer of cypress mulch (due to the high prices of cypress in california). Any suggestions or does this seem okay?

I have them on newspaper, no chance of impaction and they poop up a storm every day so I have to change it. What size enclosure do you have? What do you have for UVB and how close to it can he get? I'm using a 100W PowerSun at about 14" for heat & UVB. Any pics?

I am using a 100w powersun also. The lower level is 11" away and the higher is 10" away. The enclosure is a 4' x 2' with a sliding glass front and I have it blocked off, so he has about 3/4 of the enclosure. I'll try to get a couple pics up today.
