I'm not planning on any savy additions. The first one looks really weird with a large head and such a small body. Am I just seeing things?

The first one looks like there's something going on besides being under weight. Maybe even dehydrated,.. the second one doesn't look that bad but it wouldn't hurt to let them both eat when ever, where ever and how much they want for a while.

The first one looks extremely dehydrated and probably dieing. The second one looks a little thin, but not too bad.

It is very common with the inexpensive monitors, and even some of the more expensive.

I wondered if it could have been from parasites since a fair amount are wc. It's too bad they're so cheap. Last time I went to pecto (start of the year) they had savys for sale. It was pretty surprising to me, not only were the temps way too low (~80ish with stick on thermometers at the top of the tank) but there was no information on them in the store. Nothing that said how large they get or how their temperaments can be. Just their name, what they eat and a lifespan. They did however tell me a care sheet was available on their website...

I love the description, eating everything you throw at them, guess no one told him rocks aren't on the menu. It's sad to see, trade or not feed them first then post pics.

I sent him a message. I basically told him that the first one looks like its really underweight and dehydrated, that I wasn't going to try and tell him how to do business but I just wanted to let him know in case he might not have realized it... I'm not expecting to get anything back and if I do, I don't expect it to be friendly.
Ugh, that stuff really ticks me off! I don't think it would survive being shipped.

Ugh. So sad. We recently saw one on craigslist that was in horrible shape too. If I had the time, space, and money I'd want to go save them all! One is enough work though....if you're taking care of it properly! I spend usually at least an hour a day with mine, and it's only a baby. He grew another inch, man they grow fast....and shedding again. Little lizard piggy that he is. :)

Truly sad, i think i can see his spine. Hope if he does get adopted it's locally to avoid shipping and the person gets both on track if that's possible.
