Different types of Fish Oil

Are there any other types of fish oil or seafood oil that is good for tegus? I have fish oil with 1,000 MG omega 3's and a high DHA/EPA amount per serving but it is not cod liver oil that everyone seems to recommend.

Yeah there are different types some more expensive or cheaper than others. Besides the type the biggest difference is that CLO comes from the liver of cod fish and not just the tissue. Therefore it has vitamins A and D, D helps with calcium metabolism.

I would offer pure Salmon Oil over Cod Liver Oil. Feeding things like liver and then adding CLO to the mix is an overkill of vitamin A and D. Both vitamins are not water soluble and can be easily overdosed in such a small animal.
