Cypress blend?

So I just recently saw that cypress blend may not be safe to use, any truth to this? I bought cypress the other day to fill the bottom of the cage, however I dont remember if it was cypress mulch or cypress blend.

I called the place I got it from but they have switch brands at this point. Also, garbage day has passed so I no longer have the bag it came in to check it.

If you guys say I need to pull it out I will, however I was just trying to save myself some time and money. Tegu will be here in a couple weeks, so I am just trying to get everything all set now. Thanks everyone!

I would toss it if you are still unsure. I think the reason why people do not like the blends is because there could be harmful additives like pine or fur. I use hemlock mulch since I was not able to get a reasonable deal on cypress in my area.

Thans for the reply. I ended up tossing it a few days ago. I ended up finding cypress with nothing else listed on the bag. Little more expensive, but it worked out at least.
