Brumation Problems & Questions

Hello i am a new member in the forum that just got a tegu since around September 2024, and while i'm still in middle school(or high school depends on the country) i am very enthusiastic about this animal and before i got my boy Doug, i did research by looking at some tiktoks or youtube shorts about them and they seemed kind of interesting and wont show aggression unless threatened and boy was i wrong because that research isn't enough research and now that i actually had a tegu that i got with my lunch money savings things has got complicated and maybe quite pressuring, it got so bad that i almost lose passion for it. So after i did more research on it there is still one thing that i am still confused about and that is brumation, recently like all tegu owners(maybe) Douglass has been sleeping a lot lately, while i knew he was brumating i am still confused about what the symptoms are because "sleeping a lot" or "eating less" its not enough for me and i also saw another thread in tegutalk talking about how a tegu might have a parasite and one of those symptoms are sleeping so that is very worrying. Another thing that im still unsure is that, during brumation can you still give it warm baths? I really don't know if this is disturbing it or something, will it like "reset" the process or will he keep sleeping/become less active until he's done? because where i come from, there are lots of flies moths and other insects literally invading Douglass's enclosure and i've seen eggs of them and i also see worms, not superworms or a mealworm, literal worms in his food bowl that i have to wash out everytime(the smell is no joke either) so i'm just worried something will happen to him if i just leave him sleeping like that for months. Also another thing that i still question is that, what's the difference between brumation or just having a really low temp enclosure that made him lost his appetite? because the enclosure that i bought come equipped with a thermometer and i don't know if it is that accurate or not but as far as i know the enclosure was at 29-37°C and apparently you need around 47.7°C or above to make a tegu active and have more appetite, again this was at another thread i saw but correct me if i'm wrong because this is all i know so far.

So i'm really sorry if i'm not structural here, also this is only some of the questions that i want to ask and there is more because i am not confident enough to leave my boy Doug alone like that just slacking, i hope someone replies and give me answers or solutions to my problem, thank you.
