black and white tegu

we have a male tegu (black and white) for about 5 months now.yesturday he started having what i would call muscle spasams through out his body. what could cause this and how to fix it

How old is the tegu? What does it diet look like? What kind of lighting are you using? Is he still spasming in or was it an isolated incident yesterday?

Can you post some pics of him & his enclosure?

Muscle spasms *can* be an early sign of MBD. But as todeyius said- more info will help a lot in discerning the issue.
