Basking Lights

So I just got my fancy new tegu tank and I'm not 100% sure what wattage of infrared basking bulbs to get. It's 5x2.5x2 (yes, odd dimensions but I couldn't fit a 6x3 in my room and seeing as Kodo is Colombian not Argentine he doesn't take up as much room), has a thingy for hooking up one of those florescent Reptisun UV lights, and two attachments for basking bulbs on what will be the warm end. I used to use a 100 watt Powersun bulb as a basking/UV source but this new setup isn't conducive to that. Any advice would be most appreciated.

Because I won't be able to turn it off at night without unplugging it. There's no on-off switch for the basking bulbs, just the UV tube. It's set up similar to the way they do it in nicer pet stores.

Just put it on a timer. My cages are set up the same way and that's what I do. Or run an extension cord so that the plug for your basking light is easily accessible if you just want to plug it in and unplug it to turn it on and off. I prefer the timer.
