This site has been an excellent resource for finding info on good foods for my tegu. The tegu foods list has been an excellent resource but I'd also like to compile a list of dangerous foods to avoid. Variety seems to be a huge key for a healthy tegu diet and sticking to the known safe foods list may not always be ideal.
Obviously It would be best to shy away from fatty & salty foods - but these foods are usually alright as a treat or in moderation. I'm mainly looking to get a list of foods that seem reasonable but can have severe health effects.
Examples would be fireflies, avocados etc...
I've been roughly going off the list for dogs, however given how much the lists of toxic foods varies just between humans, dogs, and cats, I would be surprised if it was remotely accurate for reptiles.
