Baby Oil in Bath

Ok guy's, Biggin is shedding so I added a little baby oil(very little) to his bath tonight to help. Man!!! That was amazing he came out and I swear I rubbed his back and he kept rubbing against me and literally it was like we un zipped his skin tearing it down the center of his back and he just rolled out of it as if he had a jacket on. This was the most amazing whole body shed I've seen. Now his face and top of head and also his tail did not slide off yet and I wasn't going to pull at any sticky areas that didn't just roll off. Anyway my question is, Is baby oil harmful to the animal? If not I highly recommend this in bath when shedding.
