Argentine/Colombian Cross?

Ok so i went into my local reptile store today and there was a new tegu there. The guy told me it was a cross between a Gold Colombian tegu and a Black and White Argentine tegu. I looked at it and it looked like an Argentine. However the coloring was a brownish/gold color. It has the two loreal scales and the striping down the back. So is this a true hybrid or a odd colored argentine? The picture isn't so great. I'll take a better one next time i go.

My guess is that it is an Arg. I personally haven't seen a picture of a PROVEN cross. If there are babies out there, I don't think they would end up in a shop.
The color you describe is not uncommon. The high white colors are rare in the wild if I am not mistaken. I know that a high percentage of captive hatched imports are as you describe. I have a CH adult Black and white who has some white scales, some beige etc.
Also, don't forget that the colors will change as they grow older through successive sheds.
