Any hatchling or yearling argentine tegus for sale - I live in Canada

Looking for preferably female hatchling or yearling argentine tegu. I live in Canada so I'm not sure what is available for me.

Have you tried calling some of the US breeders like Tegu Terra to see if they can help you out?

Not saying that is an impossible task, Josh, but beings as tegus are all CITES II protected, it means they can only cross international borders with appropriate permits. While some snake breeders do enough business with Canada to have streamlined this process to make it more feasible, so far with tegu breeders this has been more trouble than benefit (last person I heard of claiming they'd arrange appropriate permits and all was one Bobby Hill, and we know how that turned out.....). It might be worth the try, but for most Canadians, we've settled on trying to avoid the red tape and just try to find sources within Canada.

Hey guys, thanks for responding.

I did contact Johnny LaRocca from Tegu Terra since he does export to Canada. Actually, he is in breeder partnership with Tegu Topia in Canada. He even helped Cindy set up her business. Currently Cindy has been overrun with orders so it looks like I won't be getting a second tegu from her anytime soon. That's when I turned to Johnny.

Johnny said he could ship a hatchling to me but it's 700 for shipping alone (all red tape, etc) plus the cost of the tegu. We both agreed the shipping price was much too steep (especially since 700 is the flat rate no matter how many he sends to Canada). He may, however, be shipping to Canada in June. If he does he is going to let me know.
