Guru, hes a year old. I'm not sure if its intentional or not but recently hes been picking out the berries in his food and eating them first lol.

Gary, hes 2 years old & the smallest of the 3

Rango, he is 2 years old as well. He's only got 2 front toes! He's the most "cudly" out of the tegus. Guru and Gary are more of explorers, Rango will take naps on my lap.

Did they really grow THAT much since April?? WOW! How did they grow so fast? Do all tegus grow that fast?

Gary and Rango did, I don't think it is common to have that much growth in such a short period of time. Their previous owner fed them each 1-2 mice a week and some banana, that was about it. I feed them every day, give them a calcium supplement and use a multi vitamin a few times a week and they blew up. They were almost 2 years old in that video and were around 2 ft long (IMO pretty underweight as well). I was a little worried at first thinking that so much growth might not be too healthy for them, I didn't want to be power feeding. When I thought about it I was just offering a diet that they should have been on to begin with.

Oh ok. I thought they were like babies in the video (like my 14 incher/2 months old). That is still a lot of growth. I heard that you aren't supposed to give them fruit/vegetables as babies? Is that what the previous owner was doing?

You can give them fruits and veggies. More than likely they will refuse them, hatchlings are more carnivorous. Guru didn't show much interest in fruits until a few months ago. He still doesn't like to eat any veggies I've tried.

This is a list of foods you can try offering.

Bananas are generally not something that should be offered too much, its high in phosphorus which can cause health problems in high dosages.

Guru is in a 7.5x3.5x4 I think, I never got a true measurement on it. The person I got it from said it was 7.5x3x4 but its deeper than 3ft because guru was over 3 ft when he was finally the same length as the depth... If that makes sense lol.

Gary and Rango are in an 8x5x4

Thank you all, they've come a long way!

I'm not too sure, I'll measure them tomorrow when they get up. Rango is only an inch or two shorter than guru! Gary is probably only like 38 inches I'm guessing. He's the smallest and the lightest. He's eating like a champ but I'm not sure he'll get too much lengthier. You never know though, the two of them have had some delayed growth. They're all really starting to fill out now which is fun to see, they just keep getting heavier and heavier lol. And their jowls! They're getting big!
