is it better to keep them together in pairs or in 3? i seem to always see and hear of people keepin more then one together,is this only because of breeding?

im very interested in gettin an ackie or 2. i have a 65 gallon tanks from glasscages.com its 48 in long/17 1/2 h/ 16 1/2 wide. sreen top sliding front glass doors. i was originally thinking of putting like a piece of wood in the middle to split the cage in half while they were babys and the letting them(or it) get used to the new set up. and as they/it grows havein the whole length opened up for it.

thanks in advance for any replys

I would think that you'd be better, if you were going to have more than one from a hatchling, to keep them together from the start. That way they won't be as territorial and will be acclimated to other lizards.
As for being the lone animal or more than one I've heard they do better in at least pairs but it could be debatable. I have a pair and they get on well with each other but will wrestle a bit.
