300 Gallon Rubbermaid?

I was just curious to know if a 300 Gallon Rubbermaid would be suitable once my Tegu gets larger? I've heard of people successfully keeping 1 full grown tegu in them but I wanted to make sure they were suitable to everyone else. It wouldn't be able to fit in my room, that's for sure but we the storage room in my basement where it can be kept.

That`s where my tegu is going this fall ..

A six foot round tank will fit in my space better than a longer rectangular one ....[Plus I have one ]

Mine is made of metal tho ...

Building a top for one may be some what of a challenge tho ...

When my tegu was a hatchling he used to sunbathe outdoors in a 300 Gal Rubbermaid... it worked excellent for him...

He will eventually outgrow it though. For a Tegu to remain 'happy' (low to no stress) he will need to burrow. So by the time you put 6~10" of mulch in the Rubbermaid... and he makes hills and valleys in that mulch... your Tegu will easily be able to get out of the Rubbermaid (as an adult).
