    WHAT??? That's awesome! I'm more in the Yucaipa area but I'm always in Redlands. :) She's actually being really skittish, but I'm guessing it's due to the change. We should TOTALLY meet up! Where in Redlands are you? More so downtown?

    Closing eyes

    I've heard that it could be them trying to ignore your presence. Mine closes her eyes when I give her jowl rubs, but yet she leans into my hand? It really depends on the nature of the encounter, I suppose.

    Props on having a Columbian! Had one myself, quite an interesting animal haha. To gain trust, I would feed him from tongs daily and I never dug him up. That's a great way to break your tegu's trust. I've read to give them something that smells like you (a shirt or something that has your scent)...

    Is this pulsating happening when you're near the tegu and attempting to handle it?

    My friend raw feeds her Viszla and she swears by this stuff. This could be a great treat/staple. Depending on how much you want to spend on the stuff, haha. Seems really good though, a nice variety of things. Only the stool will tell ;-)

    It took us a day to move out her enclosure that was in our room (I believe it was 6x4ft) and took us another day to build the outside enclosure. She was starting to outgrow the inside one, and we figured since we live in socal it would be perfect for her in the Summer. Moving out wasn't easy...
