    Prolaspe..again. PLEASE help

Thought I'd give you an update, since it has went back in it hasn't happened. I have been adding pumpkin to his reptilinks and also taking reptilinks out of the casing. So far so good. I will most likely wait till after Nov to give him his substrate back

    Prolaspe..again. PLEASE help

Yeah I guess so, but so far he hasn't hibernated with me yet, I've only had him since Easter though. I'm going to try and upload photos of him soon.

    Prolaspe..again. PLEASE help

Thanks for your comments, well in the morning it appeared to have went back in! I'm extremely thankful for that but my plan is to not feed him today and give him a small blended meal tomorrow earlier in the day. I had planned on that being one reptilink (I'll be opening it up) with added...

    Prolaspe..again. PLEASE help

Yeah, I ended up calling the vet. He hasn't been out of the water since it has happened, which I feel good about? Slightly? He is now in a tub in his cage to stay warm. He has a small towel in there so he isn't constantly sliding around and I put a small bowl in there that he can rest on if he...

Vet has different opinion on Tegu care

Hey there, thanks for the reply. He definitely is very active, right now he is on towels until all the stitches are gone and keeping them flat is very hard haha. I know that during this period where he is still "recovering" that he'd need to be on towels/things like that. He is doing great...

Vet has different opinion on Tegu care

He is doing great, normal stools but still has a few stitches because they'd rather be safe than sorry. Should be taken out sometime this week though. The guy was talking about it for all times. He did mention a "play cage" but I kinda don't see the point in that? This started because I asked...

Vet has different opinion on Tegu care

Well he was given to me as a gift, for my birthday- I got him Easter sunday. He was kinda a rescue. I do believe he was captive bred though. The vet said that the babies can get worms as they develope inside but there could be a possiblity that while I was gone he got into something? I have...

Vet has different opinion on Tegu care

[\ Background: While I was at work last week my Tegu, Kiryu, prolapsed and so I ended up driving two plus hours to a good reptile vet. The ones closer couldn't see me for another day because their reptile people don't come in that often. Because I wasn't home when it happened it got dirty and...

    Hello there!

Hey thanks for responding. Yeah I thought 'he' might be small for his age. I know the previous owner definitely got him as a small hatchling, so hopefully he is younger than five months? I measured him the other morning and he is right on 14 inches. When I got him (easter weekend) he had some...

    Hello there!

I've looked at this site many times and now that I recently adopted a tegu, thought it was time to make an account. I recently took in a (supposedly) 5 month old black and white argentine. One of the first things I wanted to see was how large other tegus are around this age. All I know is that...
