heating a large enclosure advice needed

Do you have a radiant barrier or does the insulation have a radient barrier? I think the AHS is more conductive heat, it needs a high R-value insulation. Although I am not 100% sure what it is. Where as a radiant panel, or oil recirculator is pure radient heat. I believe you can also use...

Bias video clip makes tegus look vicious

I used to have to fight feral cats at a job once, those things were viscous. But in the end, Tegus do not belong in the wild in Florida, they can be formible as well, just like Burms.

heating a large enclosure advice needed

Get a good radiant barrier and a oil circulator heater. Should be all you need, would not worry about conductive loss to much, and you can put the RB anywhere on the wall. Outside or in. [hr] Also you could use a radient heat panel too, just need to add a good thermostat, I would reccomend...

    Any AZ gu owners?

I am thinking of making an outdoor pen eventually. I have sullies out in the yard already. I am honestly thinking of getting a high water cattle trough. How much heat do they need in the winter, and how much misting in the summer?

    possible mbd

I like Solarglo as well, although I am partial since Exo-Terra supplies the sanctuary I work at. But they are the cheapest, last pretty long, and have similar UV output then other MVBs. The only issue if you do them online is dealing with returns. Also, its best to use a stand with these, they...

    Sunken Eyes

I am not a gu expert, but work with them and other lizards, and torts. But yes that sounds about right, I would buy the MVB online and maybe 2 of them, they are much cheaper on line, I like Exo Terra Solar Glo myself. But MVBs are perfect in the long run with both heat, both UVs and they last a...

    Do Tegus bask a lot?

160w MVB on a tank stand, I tried a 125, but it was topping out at 90 in the basking area that she does not use LOL. I will try to wean her off the eggs, she ate alot of them before. I plan on making plates with little bits of food here and there, I also tried F/T pinkies with no real luck.

    Do Tegus bask a lot?

I ground some no solution added turkey with hard boiled eggs and shell with a little calcium D3 supplement. I offer some berries, dandelions, and Dubai roaches, but she won’t touch them. I have other critters, so I usually have plenty of different food. She does eat though. Never thought of the...

    Do Tegus bask a lot?

This is my 1st Red Tegu. I bought her from an ad on Craiglist, they stated the proper diet and stuff, and she eats fine, is fairly active. But she loves the burrow, in fact thats all she does, does not bask at all. I have her in a 150g tank, with a MVB spot at 98-103, cool side in the 80s, she...
