What the...that kid has serious problems, there is no reason any normal person would do something like that. I hope he gets some help because if he is capable of doing that on camera who knows what he does when people arent around...
I would just let him adjust to his new environment for a day or two and then you should be able to start working with him (assuming he doesn't just go to sleep if hes still hibernating). If he is burrowed definitely dont dig him out!
Nice stripe! I have a male borneo and he is my favorite snake I have ever owned. He is super docile and has never bitten or even hissed, but he still slams huge rats if given the chance hehe
IMO the paraguayan red is the same as a regular red, people just try to make it seem special to make some $$, but yes reds get much larger than blues but are very tamable
