well nobody in my house is home until around 6 and tyson has gotten used to that schedule for his feeding time. it also has to do with how comfortable your tegu is with you whether you can take him out the hide or not. mine doesn't care when you take him out. its all tegu independent.

I doubt that anything really warrants them burying themselves. Tyson goes under with 2 heat lamps and 4 uvbs. They will do what they want lol. Just let him do what he does and he will come around. Takes a couple weeks with hatchlins.
Tyson doesn't have a schedule. He gets such a mix of everything and I just started a dubai colony. Hes eating medium rats right now with shrimp crab talapia and salmon filets. He loooooves seafood, just makes the fecal stinky lol. Hell eat any fruits though.
