    Tegu Diet

    First, it takes time, 2-3 weeks to acclimate isnt abnormal. If you want to swith off the snails, just stop with the snails. Tegus will get spoiled like kids. I would just offer pinkies til shes hungry enough. Good luck and she looks nice.

    pair of extremes (100th topic i extreme giant fourm)

    I got an extreme off bobby last season, he was like 2 weeks old. By october- november he was 22 inches. From what I read hes about average, some up to 2 feet before their first nap. Hes just getting active again, so we'll see where he goes this year. Pics coming soon on one of these threads.

    I was the one waiting this time last year, and its tough, but its worth it. Never have I had such an intelligent lizard with incredible personality. Mongo is awake now, and even more tame than before. Also, Bobby is an incredible guy to deal with. Keep up the awesome pics.

    My guy seems to come up every 4-5 days, all on his own. When I see him out, I turn his light back on. Last weekend he was up for 2 days so fed him two fuzzies. Now hes up today again. I don't know if turning the lights on and feeding him is the thing to do or not. I would definetly like to...

    How much are yours eating

    burke, are u using a good uvb? What are your basking temps? Is there anything that can be stressing him at all? If ur confident in your husbandry, you could try a little royal jelly to stimulate hi app.

    New Tegu owner

    maybe add some ground turkey or soft boiled egg, crickets have some but little protien. Besides That you should go over your husbandry. Temp and humidity are very important to appetite. A good UVB bulb is a must. Thats a few ideas. good luck.

    Hows everybodys new tegu?

    Mongo is growing fast. hes 14" and his body and tail are gettin thick. He eats well. Hes eatin turkey everyday, plus pinlies on the weekends. He just ate his first soft boiled egg, about half. Im gonna put a feeding on youtube this weekend. Thanks again bobby.
