Is tap water good enough for my tegu? Or should i get spring water? Can I use a aquarium fish dechlorinator or do I need to buy one specific for reptiles? Also is distilled water bad?

I have been reading and it is said the tegu is a strong swimmer, so I wanted to build a paludarium (part water/part land) for my tegu. What information tips, suggestions (anywhere from water depth , to how to section off water, materials, etc.) would you guys/gals give.
