She's growing well and not exhibiting any more tails "waves" and has access to outdoors now in the tortoise pens when they're inside so she seems good, healthy, and active.
I guess basking might be the wrong word. I've got a strip light for UVB over most of her enclosure as well now and she spends most of her time on the warmer end of her enclosure when resting. Which is directly under the mercury vapor bulb. I use a temp gun and basking surface temp is 120 in the...
She's had it since I got her. No leg or jaw issues, she feeds daily with gusto and sheds great. I have outdoor pens built for my tortoises and she should be big enough to go outside in one of those for some real sun.
She has a powersun mercury vapor bulb on at least 11 hours a day that she's with 12" of as well as gets mice with every meal and all food is dipped in either a liquid calcium supplement or coated in a powdered supplement.
I'd also say get basking temps up. My girl of about 4 months old has a basking temp of 115-120 and she eats whenever I offer her food and weighs 265 grams already.

I haw nothing but bad luck with them. Twice now they only shipped half the animals I paid for and refused to do a thing about it claiming "yes we did ship them". Would never give them business again regardless of any sales. Just my opinion.
Well he really seamed to enjoy it and I don't see anything in the ingredients to worry about. It's essentially like a burger party that you soak in water to rehydrate and then feed
Thanks for the advice. Have him a mix of whole ground chicken, whole ground turkey, whole ground herring and flounder, fruit and veggies, and mixed in cod liver oil and his tail fully shed today.
He came from a reputable dealer but unfortunately I couldn't see him in person before ordering, just photos and didn't notice. I just really don't want his tail to fall off, I've soaked him, put shed-aids on it, towelled it and sti nothing, I've even kind of "picked" and the small spot with my...
