Normally I let them do there thing during the winter just fresh water. But, the wife did remind me that we did loss power twice this winter. Just surprised, the female is less than half his size and she survived the winter. The male was built like a bulldog lol. We only lost power...

I went to try to wake up my B&W tegu from hibernation last week and he was dead. He was 6yrs old, always left water for him during hibernation and offered food. He had deep bedding and a hid box. He always went into hibernation after the female but, always woke up before her. We did...
I separated them for now. Guess I’ll try again next year. I wasn’t aware that the females had to be 3 yrs old. Plus this being the males first time going thru hibernation. Also, no he has not breed before. Starting to think this isn’t going to work out!!
