    Re: RE: What are optimal temps for a young tegu? Idk if uvb/uva can be reflected, calcium and vitamin shouldn't be needed if your feeding your tegu a variety of nutritious foods but if you do use calcium make sure it doesn't have d3 in it, d3 can only be produced by uvb!!

    So would one zoo Med repti sun 10 (or two?) & a 50 Watt zoo Med Uva basking lamp work with my 30L"x12"x12" (My hatchling won't need uvb from basking long as he gets it from the reptisun fluorescent right?)

    Would this be a suitable enclosure for a tegu? (after the 40 gal breeder?) It looked cheap and something i could use while I'm building the enclosure I'm gunna be putting some money into. ;) Should I maybe buy a clear container so i dont have to have the side mesh & could just have the top open...

    Yea he's a cutie,:) this make me want to go check out my local reptile stores Argentine.. May bea rescue aswell (they aren't notorious for taking care of there animals).

    Re: RE: Humidifier in Tegu enclosure, Yea Ill probably rig something up after I build the enclosure, Thinking of putting the misting hose threw the back of the enclosure almost to the bottom so the mist can be absorbed threw the bedding. (Maybe on the cool side?)
