Are Colombians notoriously picky eaters? Mine only likes her frozen pinkies right now, however used to go to town on turkey meatballs and eggs in the past. She fluctuates in how much she eats.
Mine does this too! Has since she was a baby. She honestly just loves any sorts of dark and tight spaces (which is so odd to me). She will go in them regardless of the temperature as well.
If all you have is ground turkey (when I'm in between whole rodent orders, it is what I use), make sure you mix it with a calcium or mineral powder so your baby is getting the nutrients he/she needs.
He currently has free reign around my apartment whenever I'm home, and has done exceptionally well in a new space so quickly. I may stick to that method and get a large-enough cage for when I'm not home.
I feel like the key here is "qualified". Getting a cage set up is also proving to be a challenge, but i'll find something. Just doing the heat with some moisture has seen drastic improvement overnight.
