What determines size of tegus?

Hello, I was wondering what really determines the size of tegus I know that diet and genetics would but is there a way to increase the size of your tegu? Like would whole prey help increase the size of your tegu, rather than just feeding organ meat that lacks some nutrition? Thanks in advance!

Species locality, diet and age. Like any reptile over feeding will grow them faster and larger but it’ll also reduce their life span. Just feed normal, keep normal and be happy with whatever size they end up at

Thank you!! I just randomly thought of this and decided to ask, I had no intentions of overfeeding or underfeeding I like to keep my tegus active, healthy, and a good weight!
