What Breed is she?

Hi everyone, I adopted a dog from the shelter in October. The shelter staff told me she was an 11 month old american bulldog mix. But when I got her papers it said Pit bull mix and that she was 2 years old. Ive seen many pits and I dont believe she has that breed in her, I believe she is what the shelter staff had told me because she has many featuers of the american bull dog (such as the way her lips are, spots on her skin, brindle patch). Except that shes short, her ears stand up straight and she tends to nip and tug at our other dogs heels (like a herding dog). What do you thing she could be?

I can't tell for sure, but definetly some sort of bully mix..
Either way she's adorable, and kudos for adopting a pound pup!

I'm glad i did she and her sister (who we adopted aswell) were both going to be put down. They were brought to cats&dogs forever humaine society as a last resort. I dont understand why tho... she's absolutley amazing. She's intelligent, sweet, full of love for everyone the only problem she has is a bad case of seperaton anxiety.

Maybe some pit and some bull terrier in there, there is some type of other terrier in there for sure. Its sad how many good dogs get put down at shelters now. My little guy Jager was going to be put down and he was only 10weeks old! Thats how full they are right now.

Do you have anymore pictures of her? To show off her body more? Just from her face, to me I see Shepherd, no doubt or possibly even Border Collie.

she looks a little bull terrier and a little aussie cattle dog.

I agree with this, or bull terrier and some shepherd.

Greyhound/Shepherd
Greyhound/Pit Bull

It's impossible to tell, really. She's pretty, whatever she is.

There's no way to tell exactly what she is unless you bred her, you got her from a reputable breeder or she was turned into the shelter with that info. Other than that you would need better pics like previously stated, full body, stacked or just standing to get a better idea of what she might have in her.

Her ears, lips, spots and brindle pattern tell very little about what breed she's mixed with. Since quite a few breeds have those traits including APBTs. The 2 last pics you posted are actually an Am Staff (1st pic) and American Bully or Staffie. A lot of people consider them to be the same as a pit bull and their not but,.. that's a whole other can of worms.

Either way she's a cutie :p and these days would be better of with nothing pit bull or bully attached to her breed wise.

Aussie cattle dog is what Ive been thinking too :) and I love Pits, but now a days people just think pits are mean and viscious dogs and I dont believe they are at all... so if she is mixed with pit it wouldnt matter to me at all, but i wouldnt mention that to anyone (I dont want them to be afraid of her she's so sweet). Pits tend to have a wedged shaped head and slanted body which she doesnt have. I will post more pics of her :)

Ok so here are some pics i got from the AKC website of the breeds that have been previously mentioned

Has to be part English Bull Terrier...in my opinion. Had one as a kid...

Go look at pics of English bull terriers and let me know what you think...

Can't see any American Bulldog in her at all.... I've shown Bulldogs for years and would put money on that!! Looks more of a herding mix to me. Lovely dog regardless.

I would say bull terrier mix. The problem is a lot of people try to narrow it down to two breeds but she could really have 4-5 or even more in her. You should get one of those DNA swab kits that tells you what breeds she has in her :)
